Week 36 – Not too Shabby

photoBaby O’s Size: Honeydew Melon – about 19”, 6 lb

Baby O’s developments: One week away from full term! Most everything is fully developed, but lungs could use a little more cooking time.

Currently Craving: Depends on the day, can range from orange juice to a juicy burger.

Weight gain this week: .4 lb, (28 lb total)

Sleep & Dreams: Sleep has been mostly good. I’m always waking up a lot through the night though. In most cases, I fall right back asleep. I’ve had dreams about the baby, but instead of giving birth or him being a newborn now he’s progressed to toddlerhood. He always has wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. I wonder if that’s what will happen?!

How I am feeling: So happy that it’s my last week of work! I guess I’ve been slightly lethargic in general, but not exhausted yet. Heartburn has been popping up the last couple days, but Tums seem to do the trick pretty quickly. Swelling comes and goes… I’m just happy I don’t have cankles yet.

Evidence of Pregnancy Brain: I left my phone at work overnight twice this past week, ugh.

Movement: Still squirming around in there! He has really active days and quieter days. On Saturday I could barely tell he was there, but yesterday he was going crazy. It seems like he likes to curl up on my right side a lot, which isn’t too fun for me since it causes a lot of pressure to build up.

Appointments: Tomorrow is ultrasound day! Yay!

Exercise: Worked out 3 times… 40 minutes on the elliptical, Prenatal Yoga DVD, and Tracy Anderson Pregnancy DVD , month 8.

Innie or outie: Still an innie, but getting flatter by the day.

Stretch marks: None yet, woohoo!

Rings on or off: Off

Maternity wear: Mostly jeans, but today I’m actually wearing a skirt! It’s so comfy, I need to wear it more often.

Baby related purchases: I bought a few more things I wanted… Aden & Anais Swaddles, Miracle Blanket, baby leg warmers.

Days until due date: 27

  1. So jealous of your nice high, round bump! And it’s funny—I was looking at baby leg warmers today. I almost got some Babylegs, but with shipping, one pair comes to like $15, and I couldn’t pull the trigger (yet). :)
