Baby O’s Size: Durian (weird example to use) – about 17.5”, 5 lb
Baby O’s developments: His bones are hardening. He’s keeping his eyes open while he’s awake. Lots of brain development going on!
Currently Craving: Ice cream!
Weight gain this week: 1.6 lb (25.2 lb total)
Sleep & Dreams: I’ve slept pretty well, except for the hip pain and having to switch positions throughout the night. My nighttime heartburn has stayed at bay for now. Having tons of dreams! One cool one was that Jay and I took Anthony Bourdain out to dinner.
How I am feeling: My back hurts every day. Sometimes it doesn’t start until after dinner, sometimes around lunchtime. Any kind of mild physical exertion usually makes me pretty tired. Getting off the bed or couch is definitely not easy either! I really don’t understand how people can “love being pregnant”. Being tired, achy, and uncomfortable is no fun. Plus I want some wine and sushi! But I know it will all be worth it to meet my little man in less than 2 months.
Evidence of Pregnancy Brain: Taking way too long to figure out if something goes in the freezer or fridge.
Movement: He’s starting to push more (I guess it’s his feet). Jay even felt him do it yesterday, I think he got a little freaked out, haha.
Appointments: We went to another infant care class. This past week they did a bathing demonstration first. They brought in a 5 week old baby to bathe, he was SO cute! Basically just put a little soap on the wash cloth and gently wipe him, and make sure the water isn’t too hot or cold. They also assured us the nurses would go over all of this stuff again while we were in the hospital. Two pediatricians also came in to talk about newborn ailments like Jaundice, Eczema, etc. I didn’t know that about half of all babies have signs of Jaundice, but only about 5% need treatment. They also talked about SIDS prevention… basically don’t swaddle your baby unless you are watching him, and make sure there is nothing soft and cuddly around him in the crib/bassinet. Definitely no crib bumpers!
Exercise: Worked out twice… a 2 mile walk on the treadmill, and Tracy Anderson Pregnancy DVD , month 8.
Innie or outie: Innie
Stretch marks: None yet, woohoo!
Rings on or off: On, but swelling is getting a tad worse I think.
Maternity wear: The usual – maternity jeans and sweaters.
Baby related purchases: Got the dresser! So happy it turned out nice. The quality is great and it’s the perfect height for a changing station. The crib was supposed to be delivered too, but it is still MIA. Apparently UPS never scanned it in. Amazon said they would send another one tomorrow if I still hadn’t received it.
I love your nice high bump!
Well you may not be feeling so great, but you sure look great!
hopefully your crib shows up soon!
Oooh you are learning so much! I’m glad they have birthing classes like that. My husband and I will definitely need those!
Weird thing about the swaddling, because they tell us to swaddle to prevent sids.. And babies love it.
Weird! They said not to swaddle at night in case the swaddle becomes undone and tangled.
You look so cute! And it’s getting so close!
What an awesome dream, I would love to take Anthony Bourdain to dinner hahaha. I think I am going to be a very whiny pregnant woman. I do not like back pain, and do not handle swelling well!
Have you tried pregnancy Pilates? It might help with the back pain.
I went to the Osteopath every 2-3 weeks during my 2nd pregnancy, and I swear it made all the difference. I started going because I had Pelvic Girdle Pain, but it turned out to be a blessing, because he took care of a lot of other things!
I hope you find something to make you feel better, so you can enjoy this pregnancy even more!
Looking good, mama! Not too much longer now =) Hopefully that crib shows up soon.
ahhh you look adorable!!!
Pretty sure I have that same sweater – but mine got a hole in the sleeve
wamp wamp.
Happy 33 weeks! <3
Taking a class is such a good idea. I know that I will definitely be taking some classes when the time comes.
You look wonderful!! Is it horrible that I have baby brain yet no baby?
Did they mention anything about the breathable mesh bumpers?
