Week 15 Preggo Update

Baby O’s Size: Navel Orange (about 4 inches)

Baby O’s developments: The baby is now breathing the amniotic fluid. It can also sense light and pressure.

Currently Craving: Nothing too crazy! During the day I mostly want salty foods and at night usually chocolate. Luckily I made some brownies to tide me over.

Weight gain this week: .6 lb (3.6 lb total)

Sleep: This past week has been a little bit better sleep wise. I still wake up constantly, but go right back to sleep.

Dreams: Plenty of vivid dreams! The only baby dream I had this week was that I gave birth to a little girl, but she was extremely early. The doctor couldn’t believe that she was “normal size” after being born 5 months premature. She was so cute, with light brown hair and big blue eyes. As soon as we got home from the hospital, she started speaking. I was in shock and trying to tell Jay, but he was fixing our boat (which I wish we had!). I wanted him to go buy baby stuff since we hadn’t prepared for her to be born 5 months early, but he wouldn’t budge from the boat. So she told me “Mommy, I’ll pee like Bella” and she went to the bathroom on the grass. The end!

Symptoms: I had 1 headache this week, not too bad! Yesterday I felt tons of pressure in my lower abdomen, not sure if that’s my tummy expanding or what? Still no nausea at all, I’ve been lucky!

Emotions: Still even keel! No random crying for the past few weeks.

Movement: None yet, but soon I hope!

Appointments: None this past week.

Exercise: I’m sad to say, running might be done for me! On Thursday, I could barely run for 2 minutes without being totally out of breath. This week I’m planning on getting some prenatal yoga in. These were my workouts last week.
- Tuesday: 25 minute walk on treadmill (3.5 at 5.0 incline) upper and lower body weights
- Thursday: 45 minutes on treadmill. 2 minute run at 5.0, 1 ½ minute walk at 3.5
- Saturday: 3 hour hike!

Maternity wear: I love my new maternity jeans from Old Navy! They fit perfectly and are so comfy. Almost all of my tops are still good to wear though.

Baby related purchases:  None this week.

  1. so glad you found my blog! i’m excited to keep up with your journey! Just read some of your earlier posts and I’m completely jealous you could have green monsters! I tried some in my first tri and they made me soooo sick :( That reminds me that I want to try having them again!

  2. Haha what a fun dream! I never had baby dreams till like week 37, I felt a little robbed of that goofy side of pregnancy.

Awesome job for keeping up running this far, girl!

  3. Don’t give up on running. Seriously there are weeks that are tough. And yes catching your breath is hard, but in that case, take walking breaks and then run again. Some weeks will be perfect and some will not. If you still enjoy running keep it up. If you don’t then walk :)

  4. I just ran across your blog yesterday and was excited to find you! Sounds like you have been pretty active which is great! I need to kick it up a notch in my workouts — just having been feeling it lately.

  5. Pregnancy dreams are SO weird! I love that yours was so specific and I’m impressed that you can remember them!

I think everyone is different with running while pregnant. I did fine up until a couple of weeks ago, but I get Braxton-Hicks now if I run. I still want to try, but I’m OK with not running for now. A three hour hike is awesome! Good for you :)
