Burgers Burgers Everywhere

I have been really craving burgers lately. Luckily, there seems to be no shortage of good burger restaurants in Marin County. Here are my two favorites so far…

Pearl’s Phatburger in Mill Valley was on Food Network’s, The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Tyler Florence chose the Bacon Cheeseburger as his favorite burger. So of course I had to order that! It was juicy, cheesy, bacony goodness. You could taste all of the components of the burger and that made me very happy.

Jay and I shared some onion rings. They were very good, crispy and not too greasy. I liked the fact that they had a very light batter.

Weezy’s Grassfed Shed is the closest burger joint to my house. They have almost all outdoor seating, so not too great for cold nights if you want to eat there. At Weezy’s they have 2 oz burgers, so unless you aren’t that hungry, more than one is necessary. It’s great for variety! They have a burger with pineapple and teriyaki, and a “White Trash” burger with Thousand Island and American cheese. I was boring and got 2 bacon cheeseburgers. I really loved the bun on these! It was squishy and slightly sweet. The burgers were thin, but tasty nonetheless. They had a decent amount of cheese and bacon. I loved that they had a topping bar to add all the other fixings you’d like.

We shared the Mixed Fries too. Half sweet potatoes, half regular. These were great fries…crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. We had to add a little salt but other than that they were perfection.

What’s your fave… Sweet Potato Fries, Regular French Fries, or Onion Rings?
