Chicken Coops and Cab

Hello there!  It’s been quite a few days since I blogged…just been feeling bleh about writing a post lately…but I’m back!  The highlight of my weekend was Saturday, when we went wine tasting in Livermore.  Livermore is a city just east of San Fran, and probably the easiest wine area to get to from the bay area.  We are trying to hit all the good areas close to us before we try Napa/Sonoma.

One of the highlights was going to the Big White House/ John Evan.  The winemaker, John Evan, is only in his twenties and really knows his stuff.

All the wines we tasted were amazing!  From the Sparkling Peche to the Zin.  John Evan’s sister is the one who did all the artwork.  Her brother was the model for the painting on the lower right.

We picked a lucky day to go!  One of the wineries, Boaventura, was only open the first weekend of every month.

They definitely have the coolest place around.  The tasting was in a barn, surrounded by grape vines.

…and they had a chicken coop!  I want one NOW.

Do you like wine? What is your favorite?
