This weekend we hit up The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. while were in South Beach (unfortunately we had to leave early, so we couldn’t hit up Joe’s Stone Crab as planned). It was 9:30 am and the outside tables were full, but the inside was fairly empty. We grabbed a table near the entrance, where we had a view of their fancy water filtration system. They filter tap water so it has the properties of Brooklyn water, which they use for their bagels, coffee, soda, etc. “It’s all about the water” (sounding like Janice from Friends).
For my drink of choice, I got the best invention ever, their Iced Coffee. I know, I know, bloggers talk way too much about iced coffee! But this one has ice cubes that are made out of….coffee! So simple, why haven’t I done that at home? Plus they have great coffee flavors, from classic Medium Roast to Surfers Delight (caramel & Kahlua flavor). I mixed those two for the perfect concoction.
Then we got our number and waited, and waited, and waited. The South Beach location is wayyyy slower than the Delray location. It took about 15 minutes for 2 friggin bagels. Jay got tuna salad on an everything bagel. He thought it tasted great, after he threw on some salt. Yes, it was 9:30 am, but the boy loves his tuna on a bagel (and loathes cream cheese, oh the horror).
I ordered an Asiago bagel with scallion cream cheese. It hit the spot! The bagel was just cheesy enough. The bagels here are dense and chewy, and keep you full! They are definitely some of the best bagels around. The only problem was that I had a couple burnt bites. That has never happened at their Delray Beach location. I will definitely be back to eat their bagels…hopefully they will open one close to me soon.
What’s your favorite bagel combo? I’m definitely also partial to sausage, egg & cheese on Asiago… and cinnamon raisin too (especially when they have maple walnut cream cheese).

Wow– that iced coffee really IS genius!! Awesome. On my bagels, I love cream cheese and bacon, or smoked salmon. Or egg whites and cheese!!!
I love an egg, cheese and ketchup sandwich on a multi-grain bagel. Breakfast of my dreams! I also love butter or margarine on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel. And now I’m craving bagels.
omg hey! We have that in Beverly Hills too. I’ve tried their cheese bagel, their cinnamon and sesame. Also, have you tried their corn muffins? SO awesome.
That bagel place looks awesome! I really like egg and cheese on a blueberry or cinnamon raisin bagel. I also love strawberry cream cheese on a chocolate chip bagel . It tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry
I love cream cheese but an egg and cheese bagel holds a special place in my heart.
That iced coffee looks amazing!!!
My mouth is totally watering – I haven’t found a good gluten-free bagel yet, so I’m totally out of luck until I find one!
Oh gracious that looks amazing, haha!
Those bagels look great! My only bagel option here is Panera, haha. I love getting turkey sandwiches on bagels!
Sucks you didnt get to go to Joe’s! My dad loves Brooklyn Water Bagel and aklways brings those huge, clear cups home, I love them. Unfortunately I never got a chance to try them-wah.
Oh wow this place looks awesome!!
