French Food Football Weekend

This weekend was jam-packed! On Saturday my mom, sis and I went to the Las Olas Art Fair. The weather was perfect… high 70’s. Too bad the art fair didn’t seem as good as it has been in the past. It seemed a lot smaller to me.

Mom and I on the way to the Art Fair!

After walking around for about an hour I was starving. We went to La Bonne Crêpe for a lunch that would include my mom’s favorite activity…people watching.

We ordered our food and got some bread and crackers. The bread was so fresh! The cool butter just melted right into it. It was exactly what I needed to calm my rumbling tummy.

I'm ready to carbo load!

Luckily, the food didn’t take much longer (even though our server NEVER came back to ask us how everything was or give us drink refills). My crepe was very good, it was loaded with Gruyere, ham, sautéed spinach, and béchamel sauce. I just wish it had been a little easier to cut.

Creamy cheesy goodness!

My sis and mom each got the quiche and salad. Both of these were delicious! The salad was served with a tangy homemade dressing. The quiche was rich and cheesy, just the way it should be.

This Quiche Lorraine was perfection!

On Sunday it was football day! We had tickets to go see the Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins. We arrived early to get some tailgating in before the game started.

You know us Gator girls like drinkin outta Dixie cups!

The game was SO fun! We had seats in the shade, and were able to kind of root for both teams. I’m a Florida Gator, and Tim Tebow (our amazing ex quarterback) started for the Broncos. But I am a Miami Dolfan too. I wanted the Dolphins to win, but Tebow to do pretty well. Unfortunately none of that happened! Tebow p00ped out and the Dolphins lost… after being up 15-0 with 3 minutes left. It was crazy that the final score was 18-15 Broncos.

Too bad I wasn't close enough to get a good look at Tebow's muscles!

What was your highlight from this weekend?
