Back to reality after a fun weekend….I ate way too much but it was worth it. Yesterday the eating extravaganza was in Delray Beach. This was actually my only meal of the day (not good), but I was so stuffed afterwards I didn’t even want to think of eating again. We went to The Office, a place I’ve been dying to try out! Too bad my server wasn’t Dwight Schrute.
The Office is a pretty small restaurant with a large bar area. It’s a great place to people watch. We only waited about 10 minutes for our table on a very busy day. I drooled when I got the menu…can I order one of everything? My mind was going crazy with the options, but seeing a bazillion burgers flying out of the kitchen made up my mind.
I had my Republic Iced Tea and now had to decide on what burger I was craving. I opted for the Prime CEO Burger, which had Sweet Tomato & Onion Confit, Maytag Blue Cheese, Gruyere, Arugula and Bacon. The CEO burger sure had a CEO price tag…$19! This was officially the most expensive burger I have ever ordered.
After what seemed like a light year, our food finally arrived. The burger looked amazing! I cut it in half and took my first huge bite…I was in heaven. It was juicy and flavorful. There was a lot going on with all the toppings, sweetness, crunch, cheesy goodness. I’m usually more of a purist, cheese & meat only, but this really hit the spot! The shoestring fries were good too. I ate almost every single little string of fried potatoey yumminess.
But wait…there is more! They had an item on the dessert menu I couldn’t leave without trying first, Maple Bacon Donuts. YUP, you read that correctly. Two ethereal pillows of fried dough dipped in a sweet glaze that just happen to have crunchy bits of bacon. It also came with 2 sauces; coffee infused vanilla and chocolate. They both tasted great, but the vanilla could have been thicker. The donuts were amazing! They were warm and soft and melted in your mouth. It was just bacony enough and just sweet enough to get the job done.
The Office was a great restaurant, I would go back for sure…but not as a regular thing. It’s way too tempting and very pricey. I think I might want to celebrate all my birthdays there. I wonder if they can they make me a Maple Bacon Donut Birthday Cake? hehehe

Wow… that’s an expensive burger, but it looked really good!!
Those donuts though… holy yum!!!!!!! (and I don’t even like donuts!)
I’d say it’s a birthday place for sure!
I have never, ever heard of bacon donuts…and commend you for trying them!! Your burger looks amazing, by the way. My husband (a HUGE burger fan) would have been in heaven.
I think I gained 10 pounds just READING this post (or maybe it was the two chocolate chip banana bread cookies I just ate?)
$19 for a burger? Holy moly!
Oh, my the donuts…
You had me at the burger – but the donuts
Not only is that the coolest menu ever but that looks like some of the most amazing food EVER!!! I love shoestring fries and donuts for dessert…does it get any better?
Wow, a $19 burger! That is very expensive but it looks well worth it! I’m glad to hear that it was good!
Wowzers that burger looks good (minus the bleu cheese)….SO jealous…I LOVE burgers!
