Lunch on the Water

We went to Sailfish Marina on Saturday for a nice girls day out. My mom loves the water, so Sailfish was a great choice for the view. It’s really nice to see all the boats and activity going on. We had about a 30 minute wait, not too bad for a busy weekend. Our server was efficient, but seemed like her goal in life was to hurry us out, so that dinged the tip for sure.

On to the food…the Conch Fritters were good, they weren’t too doughy and had a good amount of conch (sorry no pic, I was starving and forgot!). My mom and I both had the Grouper Sandwich (pictured below). It was pretty bad. Too much bread, fishy tasting and overcooked. The only redeeming qualities were the tartar sauce and the french fries. My sister had The Crab Cake Sandwich, which she said was pretty good, but they put cheese on it which took away from the crab. If you are in the area and need to have a water view, come to Sailfish Marina. But if you want good seafood, there are alot better places in the area to eat, like Coola Fish Bar, Hog Snappers or The Food Shack (just to name a few).
