Olive Garlic Hummus

We had an abundance of pita chips from a BOGO sale at Publix and what goes better with pita chips than hummus?  So I found a recipe in How To Cook Everything: Simple Recipes for Great Food and tweaked it a little bit. It came out very well! I love garlic & olives…so how could this be bad? Just make sure that anyone loved ones your with are eating it too :)

1 (15 oz ) can chickpeas, drained
1/4 cup tahini
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup olives (whatever type you prefer, I like Kalamata)
salt & pepper to taste
dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
water (if needed)

Place all ingredients except water in food processor and blend until the consistency is smooth. If mixture is too thick, slowly add water until it gets to your desired consistency. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.

What type of ingredients do you like in hummus?
