I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was very nice…didn’t do too much of anything. But I did see two good movies, The Social Network and The Kids Are All Right. After a great movie watching day, it was time to eat. We decided to try BurgerFi, a new fast-casual restaurant just down the road from us in Lauderdale-by-the-sea. BurgerFi stands for the “Burgerfication of America”. But the name makes me think of WiFi, meh. But I guess the “burgerfication” is working, because they are already planning on opening more restaurants.
They have good menu, it reminded me a lot of Shake Shack. They have some specialty burgers and build your own burgers, plus hot dogs and standard sides. I liked how you can customize your fries by having them with the basics like chili, or even parmesan herb or salt & vinegar. They had an awesome looking dessert and shake menu, which mostly consists of custard based concretes (like a better version of blizzards).
We were expecting some crowds since it was a Sunday late afternoon by the beach, but I think the rain was keeping some people away. BurgerFi was built in an ex Burger King. They did an awesome job with the renovations. We placed our order at the counter and got our Brooklyn Lagers, then took our pager to the table for our short wait.
I took a bite of the burger and it was perfectly cooked. It was decent…not the best, but good enough. I would have definitely liked more “beefiness”. My favorite part was the bun, it was a soft and slightly sweet potato bun. It worked very well with the burger. But Jay didn’t feel the same way…his exact words… “ugh, another fried a$$ hamburger”.
The onion rings had great flavor, but were a little greasy and heavy on the batter in some parts.
I would like to go back, especially to try the Concrete and French Fry creations. I’ll have to drag Jay along to try a hot dog.

My boyfriend would love this place! He’s a huge hamburger fan and unfortunately believes the more grease the better!!
My boyfriend loves burgers, I think he would like this place a lot. I love the brand on the bun that’s pretty creative. I bet the shakes and fries would be an amazing combo! I love that salty and sweet combo
I love the brand on the bun! I love burgers and I always want to go to 5 Guys. Have you ever eaten there? Those are some pretty fantastic burgers!
I think 5 guys is pretty good! Love the fries there too! Of course Jay hates it, haha.
I would go solely to customize my fries =) haha! is that bad?
What a cool hamburger place! The customizable fries are awesome! I like how the burger has the name of the place stamped on the bun. I really like Red Robin’s hamburgers. I don’t know if you have that chain near you, but you should def check it out if you do
You had me at salt & vinegar.
BTW – is that bun branded? So. Freaking. Cool.
The branded burger bun is awesome. I’m a french fries fanatic so the customized version would be totally up my alley!
WOW and WOW. That burger looks amazing. Yummy.
oh my everything looks heavenly!
xo
Is it just me, or does that pile of onion rings look like an octopus? Hehe!
I need those onion rings in my life, like right now.
When I saw the name I was like Burgers and Wi-Fi together??
Meh! Fresh but average at best.
I like the idea of getting a burger the way I want it so that it is FRESH. The burgers are very small only 3.5 oz.per patty. Great for the ladies and kids but If you are a guy you will need more than that. The fries are custom and fresh too, that a plus but they are way…I mean way too salty. Don’t bother with the cupcakes $4.47 !!!! That is just price gouging. They come from a bakery in Coral Springs, average at best. At least 1-2 days old. Save your money and skip the cupcake and buy a second burger for your man, he is going to need it. I give this place 2 stars out of 5. If you want a good burger try Tarpon bend its a little more expensive but its about 8 oz of meat and comes with fries. Burgerfi very similar to In And Out Burgers but over twice the price. I don’t think I will be going back.
get over it. if you dont like BurgerFi eat elsewhere.
